The troubled Hwange Colliery Company Limited managing director Stenjwa Thomas Makore has resigned following a spate of accusation of corruption allegedly involving him.
According to a statement by the company's Acting Chairperson J Muskwe Makore tendered his resignations with effect from May 23.
"The board of Hwange Colliery Company Limited wishes to advise all stakeholders and the public in general of the resignation of Makore as the managing director of the company with effect from May 23. The board wishes Makore well in his future endeavours," reads the statement.
